Privacy Policy
What information we collect, why, and what your rights are
1. Who is responsible for your information
Your information is collected and managed by Emma Li Hemed Shmila (“Emma The Doula”), Yuvalim Campus, 19 Prof. Avraham Pachornik St., Nes Ziona, Israel. Phone: +972-52-959-6370. Email: emmalihemed@gmail.com.
This policy follows the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 (including Amendment 13), and the regulations made under it. The Hebrew version is the binding version.
2. What we collect
- Contact form: your name, phone number, email address and message.
- Medical questionnaire and signature: personal and contact details, information about your pregnancy and health, previous treatments, and your signature. This is especially sensitive information, and it is collected only with your explicit consent.
- Blog comments (if you choose to comment): the name and email address you enter and your comment. The name and comment are published on the website.
- Technical information: the web server logs data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages viewed. This is used for security and operation only.
- Usage statistics: the website uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are viewed and how visitors reach the site. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel: used to measure the effectiveness of our ads and to show relevant ads on Meta platforms. The pixel does not run on the medical questionnaire pages and does not receive the information you enter in forms.
- Website preferences: your accessibility settings and language choice are stored only in your browser and are not sent to us.
3. Why we collect it
- To get back to you and answer your enquiry.
- To arrange and provide services, including tailoring treatment to you and keeping you safe (the medical questionnaire).
- To keep records and meet our legal obligations, such as bookkeeping.
- To send you updates and marketing, only if you have explicitly agreed.
4. Do you have to provide it?
There is no legal obligation to provide information; it is up to you and your consent. However, without contact details we cannot reply to you, and without the medical questionnaire we may not be able to provide treatment safely.
5. Who we share it with
Your information is not sold or shared for advertising. It is shared only with technology service providers, and only as needed:
- SiteGround, our website host.
- Google (Gmail), the email service that receives website enquiries.
- Google Analytics, for aggregated usage statistics.
- Meta Platforms, through the pixel, for ad measurement.
These providers’ servers may be located outside Israel. Such transfers are made in accordance with the Protection of Privacy (Transfer of Data to Databases Abroad) Regulations, 5761-2001.
Information will be disclosed to an authority only where the law requires it, for example under a court order.
6. Embedded content and cookies
The website uses Google Analytics cookies for usage statistics, and Meta cookies for ad measurement. You can block cookies in your browser settings, manage your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. YouTube videos and links to Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp belong to third parties. When you play a video or follow such a link, those parties may collect information and set cookies under their own privacy policies.
7. Security and retention
Information is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and only the Business Owner can access it. We take reasonable security measures in line with the Protection of Privacy (Data Security) Regulations, 5777-2017.
We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law. After that it is deleted.
8. Your rights
- Access: you can see the information held about you (section 13 of the Law).
- Correction and deletion: you can ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, incomplete, unclear or out of date (section 14 of the Law).
- Unsubscribe: you can ask at any time to stop receiving marketing.
